Characteristics: This species is often substituted
for pale rimu, but it is a comparatively light and featureless
timber.
Traditional Uses: Moulding, picture frames, interior
joinery and furniture.

Salu Salu responds well to the densification by the Generation-4
finish.
The Generation-4 finish
presents a dense but flexible, low maintainance finish which
is waterproof, acid and heat resistant.
